Students enthusiastically participated during ’Single Use Plastic/Polythene Bag Mukt Bharat’ program organized by Community Service Club of Shri Krishna Pranami Public School, Siwani to raise awareness about the growing serious issue of plastic pollution on the earth. In-charge of the club, Sonal Saini said that in this series, the students of the club got a chance to meet the SDM of Siwani, Mr. Suresh Dalal ji. The students discussed about the efforts being made by the club and distributed their hand made cloth bags as gifts in the SDM office. SDM Sir greatly appreciated the cloth bags made by the students of the club in the school and appreciated the efforts being made for the single use plastic and plastic bag free India campaign and informed about the ill effects of single use plastic. . He told that in today’s time the use of plastic has increased a lot all over the world. In such a situation, this work is of great importance, because plastic is a serious threat to the natural environment. Not only this, it is putting the coming generation in grave danger. Single-use plastics are plastic products that are thrown away after a single use and cannot be recycled. However, India has imposed a strict ban on single-use plastic from July 1, he added. Single-use plastic items include plastic bags, straws, coffee, soda and water bottles, and most food packaging. At the same time, SDM Sir motivated the students to take out Prabhat Pheri in Siwani and also make the shopkeepers aware. The students were very excited about this educational tour. The students also shared this experience with the Principal of the school Mr. Sunil Sharma ji and the students expressed their gratitude to the Principal of the school for this visit.
